VFX Lab Fall 2011: Color Correction / Still Frame Project
Objective:
To re-create a series of still frames for a film conveying the content of the sequence thru color and composition.
These will be composited and color graded in Nuke.
Using actual locations, 3d/CG, painted backgrounds or a combination of all three create or re-create a sequence of your chosen film sequence.
Create a minimum of 10 images.
Things to consider:
-Composition and framing. Camera position in relation to the subject and well as the background.
-Lighting: indirect, direct, backlit, interior vs. exterior. The lighting will in large part create the mood / tone of the image.
-Production value: Location, wardrobe, method, material, or stagecraft skill used in the production, general quality of the production.
-For this project we are shooting stills only, a minimum resulution of 2048x1556 pixels wide.
